Go the Brit pack, or at least two of them. Or maybe just the main man Luol, until Ben Gordon (finally) nails his colours to the mast, presumably sometime before 2012...
Luol Deng and Ben Gordon have been hitting the headlines in the opening exchanges of the new NBA season. The pair have certainly hit the ground running, to say nothing of their shooting, stealing, rebounding, passing, scoring and high-five-ing (which, with that many hyphens, is clearly not a real word).
First up came news of the Bulls' main man Deng. He hit 24 points and grabbed 20 rebounds to inspire an 83-81 win over the Bucks. Not too many signs of any lingering injury concerns there, then, GB fans.
Not to be outdone, prospective 2012 team-mate Ben Gordon landed 20 points for (relatively) new team the Pistons against the Raptors. A quick return for Detroit's $55m investment for sure, as it left him with an average of 25.2 points from his opening five games. Shame they still lost 110-99.
